Catholic Identity:
Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry program empowers students to reach out to their classmates, their church parishes, and members of the metropolitan community regarding faith formation and acts of community service. The umbrella of Campus Ministry includes a ministry team which facilitates daily prayer, on-campus and off-campus grade-level retreats, prayer/support groups, and service learning projects including but not limited to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Adopt-A-Family Programs, service-learning projects throughout Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, the Walk for the Hungry, the Women’s New Life Center, St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Magnolia School, Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, Light the Night, and Teen Cross. Because of the training and experiences afforded Chapelle students in becoming spiritual leaders and guides, Chapelle graduates are empowered to play an instrumental spiritual role upon college campuses and within the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
